What is BARF?

Your dog is descended from the wolf and is therefore a carnivore. This is also evident in its teeth. The healthiest way to feed your four-legged friend is with raw meat, bones/cartilage, offal, and fruits/vegetables. This is called BARF – Biologically Appropriate Raw Food.

Back to the roots!

Warum barfen?

Raw feeding is the most natural diet for your four-legged friend. The ancestors of our dogs knew neither canned nor dry food.
They fed on the bones, meat, and offal of their prey. BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) attempts to mimic this original diet.

  • Muscle meat for protein
  • Offal for vitamins
  • Bones/cartilage supply calcium
  • Fruits and vegetables provide fiber.

Raw feeding is n't rocket science and is very simple. Every dog can eat raw meat, even very small ones.

In the fight against

Allergien

More and more veterinarians are recommending that dog owners switch to a raw food diet.
The reason for this is allergies caused by poor diet. Itching, rashes, and diarrhea are the consequences.
Often, it's an excessive amount of grain in commercial dog food that makes your dog sick. Your dog is a carnivore, meaning its stomach and intestines aren't designed to process grain. Raw meat and pureed vegetables, on the other hand, are easily digestible, tasty, and healthy for your dog.

In the fight against allergies, an elimination diet works wonders (e.g., eating only game, lamb or horse in raw form for 1 to 2 months).

Consult your veterinarian for advice. BARF is not a cure-all and does not guarantee against illness, but it is the foundation for a healthy and vital life for your dog.
