Storing our Dried Treats
Our treats are dried with hot air, which means you can store them for a long time. When stored correctly they keep for several months. A closable feed container is ideal for storing treats. They must not become damp as otherwise they could start to go mouldy. So please don’t store them in the fridge!
If you really want to be on the safe side, you can also freeze our chew snacks – then they will virtually keep for ever.
Dried treats AS A MEAL?
The treats are NOT intended as a replacement for a complete meal. They are healthy snacks for between meals. You can use them as a reward, as activity for your dog or as a means of cleaning their teeth. Provided you don’t overdo the treats, you don’t need to deduct them from your dog’s daily food quantity.
What about FISH?
Well, fish is a bit different. Like all our other products, the fish fillets and whole fish (available on the spot in the shop) are dried only with hot air. This process retains the fish oil, which ensures your dog has a healthy coat and is also very healthy for it. However, due to the oil the fish cannot be kept for as long as our other products. If stored in a dry place, the fish will keep for around 2 weeks, but we recommend freezing the fish or feeding it to your dog immediately.
