Barf for cats

You can also barf feed your house tiger! It's species-appropriate and tastes good. Unlike dogs, cats are pure carnivores. This means that cats actually only eat meat. They only need very small amounts of fruit and vegetables (approx. 5% of their food ration) and carbohydrates are taboo for cats anyway - as they cannot process them and this leads to kidney damage.

Why cat barf?

The digestive organs of wild cats have not changed in comparison to domestic cats - which is why BARF is the ideal form of feeding for cats.

Feeding a cat BARF is actually quite simple, especially if the cat is an "outdoor cat". Outdoor cats hunt mice, birds etc. and thus provide their bodies with all the necessary nutrients. You can't go too far wrong with additional BARF feeding at home. For domestic cats, however, a few things need to be taken into account, e.g. the taurine content of the food. Cats also need several smaller meals throughout the day. And... unlike dogs - a cat knows a "feeling of fullness" and automatically stops eating when it is full.

Cats are often very picky eaters. It may be that chicken is their absolute favorite food and then - out of the blue - they simply won't eat it anymore. In this case, simply stop feeding chicken for a few weeks. After this "break", the cat will probably eat it again.

With BARF, you put the raw meat out for the cat, wait until it has eaten its fill and put the leftovers - if there is any left - back in the fridge. It is best to use a bowl with a cover for barf feeding.
